Hi all! Welcome back to my blog. Today I will be sharing my review on the Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask. This product is pretty self-explanatory. It's a product you can leave on overnight and wash off in the morning. Of course, you can also just use it as you would a typical face mask and wash it off after 10-30 minutes.
Price: $22 for 1 oz or $45 for 2.7 oz. This is pretty pricey for a face mask.
Packaging: It comes in a hefty glass tub, and the pink is super cute. You're definitely getting a product that looks its price. However, it does come in a tub, which some people don't like because it exposes the product to the air.
Experience: I used the mask as instructed. I applied a thin layer all over my face and left it on overnight. It's very lightweight so that's nice. It has a light, fruity smell. It does absorb into your skin, so you don't feel like you're going to sleep with a mask on and you won't get your pillow wet. When I woke up, the product had stringed up on my face.
Results: I found this product to be minimally hydrating. Honestly, I would've seen better results just by using a moisturizer. I feel like my skin would have been just as soft if I had left the mask on (or any mask on) for 20 minutes and then washed it off. Essentially, you get the same results as you would using any other face mask. I'd expect a lot more from a face mask that I was leaving on my face for ten hours.
Final thoughts: I would skip on this product. It's not terrible, because it does hydrate and it didn't break me out, but it's nothing special, especially for the price. However, I read some pretty good reviews on Sephora, so maybe that's just me. I feel like my skin is already pretty soft and supple because I have a good skincare routine down, so maybe this product wasn't as beneficial for me than it would be if I were in dire need of moisture. (But then again, I would invest in a good serum or moisturizer instead ;)
